And if the driver doesn’t buckle up, MyKey has a solution for that, too—keeping the audio system on mute until the driver and passenger are safely fastened in. The new MyKey technology debuts later this year standard in the 2010 Ford Focus and will come standard on most Ford Lincoln and Mercury vehicles soon after.<br /><br />To raise awareness about MyKey, MCG took the first drivable prototype vehicle (straight from Dearborn, Michigan) on a tour of eight cities throughout Florida, providing demos to media and community members.
